Albert Beer was born on 10 May 1859 at Dalhousie, South Tylden, Victoria. He was to spend 40 years in Victoria and 30 years in New South Wales. Albert married Elizabeth Jane Pickens, daughter of Samuel Pickings and Keziah Thomas, circa 1883 at Daylesford, Victoria. By this stage her mothers surname was Langdon. My supposition is that Keziah was born Thomas; married Samuel Pickens in 1864; had Elizabeth then married Thomas Langdon in 1867.
Albert Beer died on 18 November 1929 at Echuca District Hospital, Hovell Street, Echuca East, Victoria, at age 70. He died from Angina Pectoris which he had sufferred for 2 months. This was associated with Myocarditis which he had been suffering for 2 years. He was being treeted by Dr Harding H Henshall who last saw him on the day of his death.[Reg Vic No: 14068] He was at the time of his death listed as an Engineer. He was buried on 20 November 1929 at Echuca Cemetery, 45 Hansen Street, Echuca, Victoria. The service was conducted by the Rev. L Walton, a Methodist Minister.
