James Royal married Harriet Eliza Carter, daughter of Charles Carter and Mary Clarke, in 1904 at Sale, Victoria.1 James sold his East Bairnsdale farm on 6 November 1950 as reported in the Gippsland Times, of that date, on page 1.
"East Bairnsdale Property Realises £4900
Exceptionally keen interest was manifested to-day at the Bairnsdale sale yards when Mr. J. Royle's well-known property of 20 acres was submitted to auction. Spirited bidding quickly raised the price to £4900, and it was sold under the hammner at that figure, the purchaser being Mr C. Royle. of Wangaratta, who, some years ago, owned Clifton Park, Wy Yung. The selling agents were Dalgety and Co. Ltd. and King and Heath, in conjunction."

Daniel Sayer married Maud Mary Carter, daughter of Charles Carter and Mary Clarke, in 1911. I am not terribly happy with this reseach match as it is listed under "Mary Maude" which is the wrong way around and Maude now has an "e" on it. Also Maud would be about 28, which is old for a first marriage. Must get the Certificate one day to check.
