She also had a sister believed to be Isobella.
Betty and her sister believed that they were adopted children. Beatrice Madge Kline was also known as Betty. Her married name was Elliott. She was born in 1917 at South Yarra, Victoria. Family lore has it that Beatrice/Betty may have been adopted however there is the entry in the Great War (Vic) Indexes for B'rice (Beatrice). Lore is usually not way off the beam so the adoption may well refer to another close to Betty.

She was apparently transferred from Melbourne Hospital to the Fairfield Infectious Diseases Hospital on 6th July 1917 and died the following day. The Vic BDM Register has her place of death as Clifton Hill which is next to Fairfield. Maybe the suburb boundaries have changed with time as it's position is only a hundred meters or so from the current boundary.2 She was buried at Melbourne General Cemetery, Melbourne, Victoria.3
