     Thelma Elliott was born in 1922 at Glen Park, Eltham, Victoria. Glen Park is the area now generally referred to as Eltham North.
A large display advert for selling a property in The Age May 8, 1909, page 20 on the right hand side states "Glen Park is close to Eltham Railway Station, 16 1/4 miles from Melbourne, a very beautiful spot on the famous Diamond Creek, to which the estate has a frontage of nearly a mile.
Thelma Elliott died on 14 February 1922 at Glen Park, Eltham, Victoria. She was just 3 weeks old and died as a result of gastroenteritis and convulsions. She was attended by Dr. E.R. Cordner of Diamond Creek who last saw her the day before she died. She was buried on 15 February 1922 at the local cemetery, Eltham, Victoria. At least this is the official entry from her Death Certificate. Further investigation at the Eltham Cemetery finds no entry for her burial there.
The undertaker was P.D. Taylor from Burgundy Street, Heidelburg and in attendance was the Anglican Minister, the Rev. W. Pattison.
However research at the cemetery finds no entry around that time either in the Register or Cash Books.
A strange anomaly.
Maybe she was buried there but sympathy was taken on the parents at her young age enabling her burial but at no charge. Then with no charge came no entry, who would know. Alternatively it was originally known as the Warringal-Eltham Cemetery. Maybe she lies elsewhere with the undertakers mis-recording the place in the Death Certificate.

     William Elliott was born on 11 December 1804 at St Mary's Church, Battersea, Surrey, England.¹ There appears to be something wrong with this history for William and Mary.
Their ages are OK although about 10 years apart. The problem is that if James and William are his children then William, in particular, was born 6 years out of wedlock and Mary would have only been about 17 years old. Allthe above is possible but it raises the query of whether Mary was a second wife?
William Elliott married Mary Ann Brighton, daughter of Martin James Brighton, on 16 July 1838 at St Mary's, Lambeth, Surrey, England, at age 33. They are both registered as living in "High Street" at the time.² William Elliott was thought to be an "Agricltural Labourer / Gardener.
William Elliott died on 8 July 1871 at White Hart Place, Battersea, London, England, at age 66. He was buried on 8 July 1971 at St Mary's Church, Battersea, Surrey, England.¹

     Her married name was Elliott. Mary Ann Brighton was born on 28 June 1815 at St Mary's Church, Battersea, Surrey, England.¹
Mary Ann Brighton married William Elliott, son of George Elliott and Elizabeth Higgins, on 16 July 1838 at St Mary's, Lambeth, Surrey, England, at age 23. They are both registered as living in "High Street" at the time.¹

Hedley John Compton died on 18 July 1964 at Essendon, Victoria.¹ He was buried in July 1964 at Fawkner General Cemetery, Fawkner, Melbourne. Position: Pres, Comp: D, Grave 1200.¹

     George Alexander Elliott was born in 1884 at Fitzroy, Victoria.¹
George Alexander Elliott married Florence Iris Ward, daughter of William Dawson Ward and Dora Purdy, circa 1922.
George Alexander Elliott died on 26 April 1947 at Vaucluse Private Hospital, Victoria Street, Coburg, Victoria. He died of Cerebral thrombosis which he had had for 10 days. This was a consequense of having sufferred from Artheriosclerosis for 5 years. He was last seen by hist doctor, Dr K.G. Ratten, the day before. At the time of his death George is reported as normally living at at 5 Hope Street, Brunswick, Victoria. His body was interred on 28 April 1947 at Fawkner General Cemetery, Melbourne, at the Fawkner.

     Louisa Mary Tolley was born circa 1861 at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. As of 1882,her married name was Elliott.
Louisa Mary Tolley married Charles William Elliott, son of William Elliott and Mary Ann Brighton, in 1882 at Rosemount Cottage, Carlton, Melbourne.¹
Louisa Mary Tolley died on 2 June 1886 at High Street, Northcote, Victoria. She died just 25 years old from Typhoid Fever which she had had for 1 week, 3 days according to her doctor who saw her on the day of her death. Charles, her husband was the official informant.^2,3 She was buried on 4 June 1886 at Melbourne General Cemetery, Victoria.³

     Ethel Jane Elliott was born in 1886 at Northcote, Victoria. Her mothers surname was registered as "Jolley" (Vs Tolley). [Reg No: 5055].
She was only 6 months old when her mother died.¹

     Henry Archibald Gill was also known as Henry Archilbald Brickwoad.¹ He was born on 19 July 1881 at 8 Lamorna Place, Keyham, Devon, England. He emigrated with his parents, Henry and Eliza in September 1889 aboard the "Iberia" with Captain Chas Adey. This time the family settled in Melbourne where they spent the rest of their lives. From this point the family history is all well established thanks to the information contained in the Family Bible which forms part of this history package. Stangely, Henry is not mentioned. Only Eliza Annie (35), Sarah (14), Eliza A. (10), Howard Augustus (5) and Harry Wyatt (3).

     Annie Gill was born on 23 May 1877 at Adelaide, South Australia.¹
Annie Gill died on 23 December 1878 at 15 Princess Street, Stoke Damerel, Devon, England, at age 1. She was only 19 months old. This would have been a sad return to England and Christmas for the family.
Henry was present at his daughters death which would have been a terrible experience, even for those days when deaths were more a part of life. Annie had a broncho-pneumonia which she had had for a week but the final 6 hours of her life were consumed with convulsions. Her final death was certified by H. Horton who was probably a nurse.
Harry was a Licensed Victualler at this time.¹

     Oswald Wyatt Gill was born on 12 June 1884 at 27 Victoria Place, Morice Town, Devon, England.¹
