However this is not always a reliable as we know many young men fudged this date to gain entry to the military.¹ He was born in 1920 at Brunswick, Victoria. This is the date given by BDM Victoria and probably the correct year. The date and month may well be the same as he gave to enroll in the Military. ie: 29 April 1920.²
