Alfred Charles Searle died on 30 May 1928 at 236 Bambra Road, Caulfield, Victoria. He died from Cardiac Failure. This was brought on by Nephritis which he had had for one week and Pulmonary Tuberculosis he had sufferred for 16 months.
He is listed on his Death Certificate as being a Ships Fireman and Greaser.
Also of note was that her had been in Victoria for 7 years.

A patient sufferer at rest.3 His Funeral Notice in the Argus, Melbourne, Vic, Thu 31 May 1928 reads as: SEARLE - The friends of ALFRED CHARLES SEARLE are informed that his funeral will leave the residence of his father-in-law (Mr C.J. Steele), 236 Bambra Road, Caulfield, tomorrow (Friday), at 11 a.m. for interment in the Cheltenham Cemetery, arriving at 11.30
RAYBOULDS, Funeral Directors, 290 Glenhuntley Road, Elsternwick. Phone X4605. He was buried on 1 June 1928 at Cheltenham Cemetery, Melbourne.1

Frederick is listed as 30 years old and a Labourer with Louisa (32 Years) listed as his wife. Frederick G. is 8 years old and Doreen L 6 years old. They were aboard the P&O ship "S.S. Ballarat" travelling via the Cape.2
