Alfred Charles Searle died on 30 May 1928 at 236 Bambra Road, Caulfield, Victoria. He died from Cardiac Failure. This was brought on by Nephritis which he had had for one week and Pulmonary Tuberculosis he had sufferred for 16 months.
He is listed on his Death Certificate as being a Ships Fireman and Greaser.
Also of note was that her had been in Victoria for 7 years.
He had no children.1 His death notice reads as: Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1957), Thursday 31 May 1928, page 1

A patient sufferer at rest.3 His Funeral Notice in the Argus, Melbourne, Vic, Thu 31 May 1928 reads as: SEARLE - The friends of ALFRED CHARLES SEARLE are informed that his funeral will leave the residence of his father-in-law (Mr C.J. Steele), 236 Bambra Road, Caulfield, tomorrow (Friday), at 11 a.m. for interment in the Cheltenham Cemetery, arriving at 11.30

Their last address in the United Kingdom had been at 20 Wellington Street, Plymouth, Devon. Their third child, Freda, is not mentioned and this needes further ivestigation. Frederick is listed as 30 years old and a Labourer with Louisa (32 Years) listed as his wife. Frederick G. is 8 years old and Doreen L 6 years old. They were aboard the P&O ship "S.S. Ballarat" travelling via the Cape.2
Louisa Kate Searle died on 4 September 1989 at East Ringwood, Victoria. She is registered as dying from Gangrene which she had had for some weeks. She had also been suffering from Peripheral Vascular disease for years.1 At the time of her death Louisa is reported as living at at 39 Blazey Road, South Croydon, Victoria.1 She was buried on 8 September 1989 at Springvale Botanical Cemetery, 600 Springvale Highway, Springvale, Melbourne. Her "in perpetuity" burial is in the EE Simpson Lawn area, Row P, Grave 22. Her Funeral Director was Australian Funeral Benefits.1,3
