GORELL. — On November 22 at her home 43 Alexandra avenue, Geelong, Ethel Julia, the beloved wife of Leslie A. Gorell. Loving mother of Phyllis (Mrs. W. E. Vardy, Maffra), Clifford and Howard. She was buried on 23 November 1946 at Geelong Eastern Cemetery, 141 Ormond Road, Geelong, Victoria. She was burried with her husband in plot: EAS-METH-10-807-324.

     Clifford Robert Gorell was born in 1912 at Geelong, Victoria.¹

     James Gorell was born circa 1838 at England. Not of my core studies so I just note here that he seems to have had a large family. Thos listed in my research and those listed here in Geelong Advertiser on his death.

He immigrated with his parents Edward Gorell and Ellen in December 1854 at Geelong, Port Phillip District; They arrived aboard the ship "Delgany".

     Horace Gorell was born in 1871 at Geelong, Victoria.¹ Horace was reported at this day to be a Director of "Berlei Limited" - based in Sydney.

     Herbert Edward Gorell was born in 1867 at Geelong, Victoria.¹ He was born on 26 March 1867 at Geelong Eastern Cemetery, 141 Ormond Road, Geelong, Victoria. If this is correct then Herbert was no more than 3 months old. Further checking needed.²

Albert Edward Gorell married Constance Jane Kirkwood in 1903. The was an article in the Geelong Advertiser on 29 January 1929, p4 titled:
A Remarkable Escape
Mr Albert E. Gorell, the well-known
South Geelong hardware merchant, his
wife and daughter, and their friend,
Mr. W. Grant of Hendy street, Geelong,
ana Chapel street, Prahran, had
a remarkable escape from serious injury
yesterday when the 8.20 a.m. Flyer
to Warrnambool crashed into the motor
car in which they were riding. The
accident happened at the Church street
crossing three-quarters of a mile on the Melbourne side of Colac. The car owned and driven by Mr. Gorell, was badly damaged, but happily its occupants,
who were returning to Geelong from Apollo Bay, escaped with a shaking. They came on to Geelong by train. The car had stopped in an endeavor to avoid a collision, when the front of it was caught by the back part of the engine. The train was delayed only five minutes. Albert appeared on the Australian electoral roll of 1942 and listed as living at Little Fyans Street, Geelong, Victoria. Albert had a listed occupation of plumber.
Albert Edward Gorell died on 2 May 1945 at Geelong, Victoria. He was buried at Geelong Eastern Cemetery, 141 Ormond Road, Geelong, Victoria.

     Roy Eric Gorell was born in 1905. He and Edna Elaine Sylvia Coverdale were engaged in November 1933 Their engagement was announced in Table Talk in the edition dated Thu 9th Nov 1933"
